Cummins Falls State Park is a 282-acre state park located northwest of Cookeville in Jackson County in the U.S. state of Tennessee. Its namesake, Cummins Falls, is a 75-foot waterfall, which is located on the Blackburn Fork State Scenic River.

A Country Tennessee location with beautiful front porch views of wild life , the surrounding hills and bottom land that can take you back to a simpler time. The two bedroom and one bath farm house is located on 75 acres of wooded hills which is perfect for those with an exploring nature of hiking. Fishing poles available upon request. Easily accessed attractions of Cummins Falls State Park , Dale Hollow Lake , the small town country squares of Gainesboro and Celina, and the larger city of Cookeville are all within a 10 to 25 minute drive. Camping is also available if so desired.
Bedrooms are furnished with full sized beds, chest of draws and closet space. Kitchen equipped with refrigerator and ice maker, electric stove and oven, coffee pot with filters, table and chairs, plates, glass ware and small assortment of pots, pans, utensils for basic cooking. Front porch is furnished with two chairs and foot stools and a large propane grill. Equipped with washer and dryer. Internet is provided fiber optic with good speed. Cell phone reception a challenge at the farm house with cell phone use best through the house Wifi.
This farm house was built for my Aunt Ann Walker. Ann was born here on the farm in 1888 and lived in the original Log Cabin before moving into the farm house. Ann never married and lived a country 1800's type of life style and loved her farm with all of her heart. The original log cabin was located near the lower spring and is no longer standing and burned in 1953. Ann is buried in the Walker family cemetery along with my great grandparents and great , great grandparents.
Local restaurant menus are available found in a folder provided . For a traditional breakfast with the locals there is Faye's Cafe open at 5:30 am on the square. For Lunch and Dinner Restaurants , Bull and Thistle ( one of the coolest restaurants in the State of Tennessee and located on the square , open Fridays , Saturdays and Sunday brunch. ) , Stolen Coin Oyster bar and Bistro on the Square , Casa Grande Mexican Grill , Giovanni's Italian , Helen's ( on top of the hill on hwy 56 ) , Dairy Queen, Subway.
Gainesboro's town square has been host to the filming of the 1970 Hollywood movie " I Walk The Line " with Gregory Peck and Tuesday Weld. Johnny Cash sings the title song and several other songs in the movie. It is interesting to see the specific buildings on the square in the movie compared to what they look like today. Also , Cordell Hull a local lawyer , congressman and judge in the towns court house became famous in his time as Speaker of the House of Representatives, Secretary of State during World War 2, founder of the United Nations and Nobel Peace Prize winner. Gainesboro is the County seat of Jackson County. Jackson County named after Tennessee President Andrew Jackson and Gainesboro named after General Gaines , one of Andrew Jackson's Generals. I think you will enjoy your stay. The area is country , secluded and quiet.

Granville Bed & Breakfast is located in a beautiful country setting in the historic riverboat town of Granville, Tennessee, just 60 miles east of Nashville. The Bed and Breakfast is adjacent to a 1931 original bank building. Step back in time as you visit the bank, post office, and barber shop museums. Shop for gifts, collectibles and antiques located in the old bank.
The Granville Mercantile has two bedrooms, two and a half baths, and a full kitchen constituting 800 square feet of living space. The bedrooms each have their own private bath, large windows, and are nicely decorated—modern and contemporary. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and looks out to the Presbyterian church and the Granville Pioneer Village. The master also serves as the bride’s room, where she can enjoy preparations with her maid of honor and bridesmaids. The second bedroom has a full-size bed, and looks out onto our side yard with views of our main street and Pioneer Village. The kitchen area has a full-sized refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, a cozy island, a dining table, a comfortable daybed (perfect for lounging and/or sleeping) and a 50″ television. From the kitchen you step out to the deck and on to your back yard.
Built in 1922, the Granville Presbyterian Church now serves as our wedding chapel. The all-brick building with its center lancet window and twin steeples is striking in appearance. One tower contains a church bell from the 1880s, which we believe was originally installed in the 19th century church that this building replaced. You are welcome to ring the wedding bell on your big day!
The interior of the church features high wooden ceilings and beautiful hardwood floors, complemented by its uncommon curved pews of varying sizes. It's the perfect place to tie the knot or host your next event!

There are only two back to back pads available in a neighborhood setting so your visit will be quiet and relaxing. We offer individual 50 amp electrical hookup (50amp male to 30amp female adapters required for 30amp service), 110 outlet, public water, and a septic dump station for each pad. Pads are crushed stone for now. Sites are located in the middle of town and within one block of the old Sutton General Store. They are within a couple blocks from the Lakeside General Store. Sites are also within a couple blocks of the post office, Veterans Park, Granville shops, museums, church and Sutton Homestead. The new wedding chapel in the old Presbyterian Church and Granville Broom Works are just across the street. Looking for a campground, give us a call. Access to nearby boating, swimming, fishing, hunting and horseback riding are also available.

Isaac Wayne Bodine was born in Indiana, just a stones throw from Tennessee. His mother named him Isaac after hearing his name from her maker. Good omen. At the age of 3, his family moved to California where he was strongly influenced by his grandparents, Hazel and Wayne Burston and his uncle down the road. Strongest influence however, was his great grandmother who unfortunately died when he was 5. But, she left him with strong moral values and an unwavering love of his God. Fortunately, his grandfather then took Isaac under his wing and taught him equestrian skills. Additionally, as life does, it took Isaac to many dark corners where his deep faith sustained him with continual hope. He now lives in Gainesboro Tennessee with his where his chainsaw art blossoms. Isaac Wayne Bodine is married to a wonderful women named Kathy. He carves out huge pieces of his time dedicated to his boys as a patient and attentive father and devoted husband. He attends a local church just down the road from where you can see his works take shape. Isaac has a huge heart. His children appreciate his art and become his "pit crew" to help him stay concentrated on using imagination to create dreams in wood. For the Bodine's, his labors of love are a family affair.

We do what we refer to as "occasional sales" being open on Thursday-Saturday every two or three weeks. The rest of the time is spent picking treasures found throughout the backroads of America, and redoing, repurposing, and reimagining pieces.

Nestled in the hills of the Upper Cumberland Plateau where moonshine has been made for hundreds of years we are continuing the tradition. We make old fashioned moonshine using a traditional copper still with non GMO white corn and techniques that have been used for years to produce a quality smooth product.
Carrying on a family tradition we do everything by hand, from malting our own corn, bottling and labeling. The recipe is the same as it was when the product was manufactured illegally so you get that taste enjoyed for years by many.
